1st March - New Membership Year - guide to renewal

BCYC membership year runs from 1st March and new members joining in February get a month free.

Existing members will be sent membership renewal notices early in the year and have until the end of feb to pay their membership and storage fees. They then have until the end of march to select their two dates for duties. This is done via the members portal (top right of website) and those who do not select their own dates get them allocated automatically by the system.

The annual fees for different membership types can be found HERE along with details of training courses and craft hire for members.

If members do not wish to support the club by doing two duty days during the membership year, they can pay the full membership price (an additional £180 per adult in 2026)

In addition - if having selected or been given duty dates - members are unable to fulfil this obligation - then they can organise for another member to do their duty for them, again via the members portal - search the payment for duties option.

Members have access to the water seven days a week during the summer and can access the water via the buddy group system.

Members communication is via specialised WhatsApp groups (windsurfing, paddlesports, social sailing etc) while there is a BCYC newsletter that anyone (members and non members) can subscribe to, Logo top left of website.

Membership application is via the website , and members can get a key to the car park and access to the clubhouse.

There is a downloadable guide for renewing membership
