British Canoe Paddle Explore Course for members

Your Paddle Explore Award can be taken in Canoe or Kayak so bring your own boat and learn how to control it properly and most importantly learn how to fall out and get back in safely.
On completion of the award you will be competent to paddle on sheltered water and make the correct decisions.
This is the minimum standard set by the club to lead a buddy session in kayak or canoe.
The cost of the course is £50. Space for 8 candidates.
If more demand than spaces available I will look at some further dates.

Please be mindful there is a set standard that you need to reach in order to obtain the award so if not everyone reaches the standard in a day we can look at adding some top up evening sessions to get everyone to the standard. You do need to capsize your craft (with a deck on a kayak) so you do need to be confident in the water upside down.
