RYA Start Windsurfing

A two day RYA Start Windsurfing Course for novices or as a refresher for those returning to windsurfing. It's a good idea to have at least tried windsurfing before.

The course follows the RYA start windsurfing syllabus and aims at developing confidence and competence of the participants.

The course takes place using club windsurfers that can be hired by members.

The course is run on two consecutive days, 09:30 to 16:30'ish on each day.

Requires a minimum of 2 people for the course to run.

The course is aimed at adults and teens.

The course can be arranged at other times for groups of 2 to 4. Please contact windsurfing@bcyc.org.uk for information.

What Do I Need to Go Windsurfing?

The course provides all equipment that you will need, wetsuits, bouyancy aid and spray jacket - except shoes.

You will need to provide shoes that can get wet (training shoes or pumps will do) and a towel. The club has lockable changing rooms and hot showers.

Teas and coffees and be purchased at the club and there is food available on a Saturday and Sunday. Most participants bring a packed lunch.

How Much Will it Cost?

The two day course costs £170 for the public and £150 for BCYC members.

Refunds

If we have to cancel for any reason a full refund will be given or alternative session provided.

You can cancel up to 30 days before the event. Note refund will be minus Eventbrite fees.
