RYA Day Skipper Theory Course at BCYC - Feb 2019

The RYA Day Skipper Theory Course is an essential 40 hour navigation course that teaches you the basics of coastal and inshore navigation by daylight and pilotage including chart-work, position fixing, plotting a course to steer, weather forecasting, and a knowledge of tides and the International Regulations for Prevention of Collision at Sea (IRPCS). It is the pre-requisite level of navigation required to prepare you for the RYA Day Skipper Practical course.
COURSE DATES –
5 Days over five consecutive Saturdays starting on February 9th 2019 (9th, 16th, 23rd Feb, 2nd, 9th March)
The Course starts at 09:00 and ends at 17:00 each saturday
The Cost of the Course is £250 - Booked Online
In Addition each student will require a plotter and divider set which is offered at cost for around £25
The opportunity to do the day skipper practical in the spring will be offered. This is important as it enables people to apply for their ICC - essential if chartering.
