RYA Start Sailing (Level 1) - suitable for beginners
An introduction to the sport for complete beginners or first time dinghy helms, covering the minimum knowledge required to get afloat under supervision with an instructor in the boat at all times. Two day weekend courses - dates now being booked

RYA Sailing Basics (Level 2)
Developing sailing techniques to be able to sail independently. Ideal for anyone returning to sailing, wanting to build confidence and competence, or participants with Level 1 wanting to progress to sailing without an instructor on board.
Once members have achieved RYA level 2 or have the equivalent experience assessed by the Principal or chief instructor, they can hire from BCYC's fleet of club-owned boats.

This course over two weekends is the perfect way to get involved with BCYC sailing - the fee includes membership of the club (existing members get a discount), includes getting to know a large number of the most enthusiastic sailors at the club and enables you to get right on the water without having to buy a boat
