Volunteer Work

To maintain a low membership fee in order to be as inclusive as possible the club is run by the members and not paid employees. Everyone who joins the club as part of their membership must commit to several duties per year in order to provide the minimum required to run the club i.e. safety cover on the water, galley and racing. This is a requirement for membership.

On top of general duties there is of course plenty of other work required to keep the club running and we rely on the membership to volunteer their skills and time to achieve this extra work. Volunteering is also a great way to meet other members and have a say in how the club is shaped. The main areas are as follows:
